前幾天和一位朋友閑聊時(shí)，我想起今年夏天聽到的一個(gè)故事：“有個(gè)人很富有同情心，看到一只蝴蝶拼命掙扎想沖破繭的束縛，就幫了個(gè)忙，輕輕地解開繭絲使其露出一個(gè)缺口。

　　蝴蝶得到解放，從繭中出來振翅欲飛，然而卻飛不起來。這位富有同情心的人所不知道的是，只有經(jīng)過掙扎破繭而出，翅膀才能變得強(qiáng)壯，可以飛翔。這只蝴蝶短暫的生命只能在地上度過了，它從未嘗過自由的滋味，沒有真正享受過生活。”

我把它叫做學(xué)會(huì)放愛一條生路。我學(xué)會(huì)了必須給所愛的人自由，如果我抓得太緊、緊握不放、設(shè)法控制，結(jié)果可能會(huì)失去他們。

無論何時(shí)我把自己的意志和權(quán)力強(qiáng)加給別人，都會(huì)導(dǎo)致他/她無法完全成長(zhǎng)和成熟。無論我的意圖多么善良，我的控制行為還是限制和阻礙了他們。

Rising Divorce Rate in China

In recent years, China has experienced a dramatic increase in the divorce rate. It is shown in the chart that during the last decade, the divorce rate in big cities has increased as much as it had in the previous thirty years. For instance, about 9 percent people got divorced in 1996, compared with 3 percent in 1976.

The upward trend in divorce seems to reflect some changes in Chinese society, from which we may trace the reasons for increasing divorce rate. First, with the improvement of life level, young people put a higher standard in marriage. They want to have much in common with their lifelong companions. Once the find the passion is over, then their marriage is over. Of course, this is an irresponsible attitude toward marriage. Second, legal changes simplified divorce procedures, and removed barriers to divorce. More and more people, both young and old, are now benefiting from, even take the advantage of the new law which for the first time allows a couple to get divorced merely for the love’s sake. In addition, the changes in personal economic activities also facilitate divorce.

Whatever changes leading to the increase of divorce in China, the fact and the statistics alone reflect the changes in people’s tradition view of marriage and family life.
